Attorney General appointed as UN Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption

The UN has announced the appointment of HE. Dr. Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri as Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption.

This took place at the 5th closing session of the UNCAC implementation review team being held in Vienna, the Headquarter of the Organization, from 13-15 October 2014, with participation of representatives of the Member-states of the United Nations.

The participants have discussed the States’ implementation of the content and provisions of the convention, followed by the announcement of the designation of the Qatari Attorney General as Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption, in recognition of the great contributions provided by the State of Qatar in supporting the implementation and execution of the convention on both international and national levels.
