CIFAL Doha is the first member of the CIFAL Global Network in the Gulf region. The mission of CIFAL Doha is to increase local and regional knowledge of the issues which can prevent public and private entities from fighting corruption effectively, and to provide appropriate resources and trainings on related topics.

The main thematic areas which CIFAL Doha focuses on are:
• Anti-Corruption
• Financial crime
• Compliance
• Cybercrime
• Public procurement

In addition to its regular trainings and events, a variety of e-learning courses will be offered free of charge to interested individuals on a range of topics, including Anti-Corruption and human rights, the use of technologies to combat corruption, and Anti-Corruption and sustainable development.

The Chairman of CIFAL Doha is H.E. Dr Ali Bin Fetais Al Marri. He has been an elected member of the Shura Council (the Parliamentary body of the State of Qatar) since 2021 and was previously the Attorney General of the State of Qatar from 2002 to 2021. Dr Al Marri also serves as a UNODC Special Advocate for the Prevention of Corruption. This appointment was renewed in 2022 for two further years, having also been renewed in 2014. This is following his appointment in 2012 as United Nations Special Regional Representative on the Recovery of Stolen Assets. Dr Al Marri holds a PhD in International Law from the Sorbonne University and a Masters in Public Law from the Rennes University.
